Comcast Seeking Search Partner

Comcast, the largest cable provider in the nation, is currently in talks with Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and AOL regarding which of the three giants will provide search functions and advertising for the company’s website as Google’s current 3 year contract comes to a close.  Under their current contract with Google the companies website received 17 million unique visitors in the month of February alone. Google Video’s Slow Death

Most people are aware that Google bought YouTube in October of last year for $1.6 Billion. At that time it was unclear what the fate of GoogleVideo would be. Searching today on GoogleVideo I find most of the content is actually being hosted on YouTube.com and Google Video (which still says Google Video beta) is being used simply as a site to catalogue YouTube content.
